It wasn't such an easy trip, 24 hours to DC for the APSA annual conference, then 48 hours of jetlag and home again. (My ears feel funny. Why do the airline people think I want to watch "Madagascar" so many times? But, then again. Some people have REAL problems.)
And I got to meet fellow CT'ers Henry Farrell, Maria Farrell, John Quiggin and Micah Schwartzman. Also, Dan Drezner, Russell Arben Fox and - last but not least - Scott McLemee.
Now I'm home.
Mei Mei is looking more like mom every day.
Cuties.
And Cory Doctorow came to dinner. How 'bout that? (No kidding. He's
in Singapore. But the picture didn't come out so good, so I won't
impose on his good nature by posting us - each looking goofier than the
last.) I'll just show you: Zoë showing Violet how to eat a popsicle.

It was a pleasure meeting you, John, and a delight to hear you and Henry and Scott knock ideas back and forth on our panel. Glad you made it home safely. I'll be in touch.

What Russell said....Glad you will be back in December, for MLA. Next time I'll count on organizing a party or something.

I'll be at MLA too. What the hell are you going for?

It appears to me that Violet is carefully investigating this quite dubious matter, while Zoë settles back with a fine appreciation of the virtues of the '04 vintage Popsicles; that was a good year for Popsicles, although this '05 has almost as good a nose.
I could be all wrong, though.

I'll be on a Zizek panel, Jonathan. I look forward to meeting you there.

Here's the information on my session at MLA:
Thursday, 29 December
493. Digital Scholarly Publishing: Beyond the Crisis
1:45–3:00 p.m., Maryland Suite C, Marriott Wardman Park
Thought I'd share as I know you're interested in the topic, John. I might even cite some of your CT posts in my presentation.
