she.jpgSorry for the posting hiatus; John and I have been working on stuff for an upcoming CT seminar. Now he is on his way to the US for a strangely peripatetic jaunt taking him to Boston, NYC, and LA in a matter of 10 days, and I have a whole lot of little girls on my hands. Soon we'll show that Bizzaro World Belle what for; she thinks she's sooo smart...

When I see John in LA, should I remind him to feel very, very guilty about abandoning his babies?

oh, sure. no, actually, you can remind him I'm jealous he's meetng the famous PZ Meyers;)

Those little girls should be a handful hope to see you back here soon.

Is that a person, or scarily sophisticated spam? No, it's gotta be a person.

"Is that a person, or scarily sophisticated spam? No, it's gotta be a person."

You say that is if there were some reason it isn't both, when it obviously is. Are you unaware of the huge number of spam firms paying people to go around and manually post spam like the above?

At the risk of sounding gullible: Really? (I mean, I figure you're kidding, but I'm just not sure.)

I've definitely had legitimately relevant comments on my blog with spam URLs.

Though in this case I suppose it's entirely possible that the spammy URL just happens to belong to some friend of Belle's.

I assume you got the message, honeybunny. I got into Boston fine. I'll call you later.

I thought I was going to be meeting the famous Holbo! I will tell him it would have been nice to have also met the fabulous Belle.

How awesome would it have been if John posted the above comment with a spam URL? My thesis: very awesome.

wolfson: agreed. totally fucking awesome.

I'm not kidding in the slightest.

in some ways, that would be a pretty cushy job, but I can't imagine it pays all that well...

Ha! Jessica at Sex Toys strikes again at Trish Wilson's blog (first comment).

We're testing a strong CC license as a form of troll repellant. Does that sound strange? Read this thread. (I know, it's long. Keep scrolling. Further. Further. Ah, there.) So basically, we figure trolls will recognize that selling coffee cups and t-shirts is the best revenge, and will keep away. If we're wrong about that, at least someone can still sell the cups and shirts. (Sigh.)
