My perception of the phenomena of your awareness of grading 80 papers leads me to believe you need sleep. However, the fact that the 80 papers will not grade themselves and will be waiting for you when you regain cognizance makes the idea of sleep less appealing. Of course your perception of the task will be completely different after...

I thought that said "80s papers" which made me wonder if papers come in vintages and styles, like songs and speeches and hair cuts. . .80s papers not so good, bad 90s papers, but late 50s papers are back in style. . .the purple tracksuit goes with that, somehow.

I recall your comment that just _reading_ 80 papers - at Berkeley - was like being hit repeatedly with a w(h)iffleball bat. Doesn't hurt, but after a while, it starts to get at you... I have often used this simile in like circumstances.
