Virtue became silly when men wearing wigs started writing poetry about it. It became ridiculous when people with suede elbows on their jackets started seriously discussing the ramifications of that poetry.

Virtue isn't just about ladies's affairs! It applies to manly pursuits, such as armed combat, as well.
