That's Supposed To Be A "Boy"

she.jpgBeyond annoying and not annoying...there is: a fan-video about a Japanese cross-dressing school-girls sit-com, set to Finnish tango music. Thanks, YouTube.

Oh, please! I have you folks all beat, hands down. And I don't even have to go back to the 80s to do it.

Though I must admit, "Putting on the Ritz" and "Da da da" were fairly close.

Music aside, is there any chance this fairly represents the show? Cuz I'm kind of curious now.

Yes, this does seem awfully bizarre but it isn't quite as odd as it looks. I live in Japan and the girls in the video all belong to a pop idol group called "Morning Musume." This video clip is a compilation of skits that were a regular feature on their TV show. It was played totally for laughs. Honest!

We're testing a strong CC license as a form of troll repellant. Does that sound strange? Read this thread. (I know, it's long. Keep scrolling. Further. Further. Ah, there.) So basically, we figure trolls will recognize that selling coffee cups and t-shirts is the best revenge, and will keep away. If we're wrong about that, at least someone can still sell the cups and shirts. (Sigh.)
