Yes, this does seem awfully bizarre but it isn't quite as odd as it looks. I live in Japan and the girls in the video all belong to a pop idol group called "Morning Musume." This video clip is a compilation of skits that were a regular feature on their TV show. It was played totally for laughs. Honest!
