Art, art, art!

he.jpgZoë and I have been working on more projects. First, this:

Balloons

This is amusing because a response to Mei Mei's newly emerging style. She has entered her 'balloon people period'. Here we see Mommy and Daddy.

Meimeiballoons

On a more conventionally developmental note ... Zoë's 'still life with fruit':

Bowl

Next, an illustration for Horton Hears A Who. Our protagonist, that fool kangaroo and kid, and an infant Wickersham in the trees.

Horton

The following obviously goes with the Chang-Ee series, but I don't about the flying figure. (Must ask about that tomorrow.)

Princessflying

Next, someone (not me!) taught her this classic game. The 'drawn the head, fold it over', 'draw the middle, fold it over', 'draw the feet, unfold and look at the results' game. Zoë did the head and feet. I contributed the torso.

Threepart

Another sample of the genre. Here I contributed the head and feet (well, stump and roots). This is good because, after it was done, Zoë added porkpie hat and stogie to my cat and told me - Belle? - that you taught her to draw cats smoking ciggies?

Exquisite corpse!

The stogie goes very well with the cat's devilish grin. What's up with the red ears? Were those in your original or part of her emendations?

Zoë contributed the devil-horn redness of the ears.

  • Confused by our comment policy?

We're testing a strong CC license as a form of troll repellant. Does that sound strange? Read this thread. (I know, it's long. Keep scrolling. Further. Further. Ah, there.) So basically, we figure trolls will recognize that selling coffee cups and t-shirts is the best revenge, and will keep away. If we're wrong about that, at least someone can still sell the cups and shirts. (Sigh.)
