I've been really sick for a while now. Just horribly queasy all the time mainly. There doesn't seem to be much to do about it, though, except eat crackers and drink ginger tea. In a way it doesn't really explain not blogging because I can sit and look at the computer, so why not write things? Nonetheless, writing takes effort.
I take various ineffective medicines and am going to try acupuncture because, why not? Plenty of good traditional Chinese medicine types around. My friend Cheu apparently has a good one. Submit your home remedies in comments, keeping in mind that I can't smoke pot in Singapore. Indeed, as a cure for nausea it has always seemed a bit lacking to me, because then you might be no longer queasy, but you would be really stoned all the time, which would be inconvenient. Clearly the level of awful you feel with chemo is so orders of magnitude worse that you don't mind...although I've always thought I would then completely trip out on how I was dying of cancer. So, I dunno. However, if cancer patients want it, they should certainly get it.
Anyway, I was reflecting on this time last year which was when Violet started to get so sick, and if I could have made a trade back then and had her well and me sick I would have done it in a heartbeat. The girls are doing great and I am going to go feel queasy in a house in Bali with a great view, so you don't need to feel sorry for me.
Sorry! Hope you get well soon! Crackers and tea is about the extent of my home remedies for nausea -- I'm not sure if you drink, I find a shot of whisky in the tea useful for making me go to sleep, which is what I usually want to do when I'm sick.

That's a feature, not a bug.

The family cure for nausea is salty weak lime drink, with just a bit of sweet. My mother recalls fondly the salted limes she once picked up in the Singaporean airport, and how they derailed her seemingly inconquerable nausea--I've always wanted to try some. Hope you feel better soon!

I've heard such great things about pot from cancer patients in Cali. I don't think they trip on how they are going to die...or maybe those are just the kind of people who have the right brain chemistry for pot. I suffer from the misfortune of not having that pot-friendly makeup.
A truly fantastic remedy if you have a genuine bug is charcoal pills. They can't hurt you. You may have already tried this because everyone in the tropics uses it.
If you are pregnant, then there are those pregnancy pops and crystal ginger.
I guess it depends why you are nauseated.

Try drinking one half cup of kosher dill pickle juice. This works everytime for nausea. The frist drink is rough but the rest is better. This will help you a lot.

A Brazilian friend told me that orange Fanta is a great cure for a hangover, and I have found that it does indeed work like a charm for other nausea as well. I contracted cholera once and in recovery, Fanta was the only liquid I could keep down (not even water or Gatorade). I think it might be because it's a little salty as well as carbonated.

Dumb question but works for my m-i-l who has had medication-induced nausea for 10 years now: have you tried Dramamine, or the local equivalent? The chewable kids' kind is good because you can take a half dose that won't make you feel dopey.

Is it totally out of the question that you might be prezeggers?

So margaritas without tequila?
