I'm all for the Kyrgyz Overthrow-the-Russian-puppet thing. Not sure I can really countenance, or even get excited about, any beatings though... no matter which way they're directed.

That's a tough picture to look at, no matter who's side you're on. (Although why anyone would be on Akayev's side is beyond me.)
