Thanks to Jim Henley for organizing the blogger whatnot! And big ups to Reason's Nick "Bar Tab" Gillespie! I had a great time and got to meet lots of fun people. I don't care if my brother and sister laugh at me for being a big geek, I'm just going to keep on making friends on the interweb. It's odd how there are people whom you know only online, and if you were asked whether you had any clear picture of what they looked like, you would say no, but nonetheless you feel very surprised when you see them. It's as if you had some latent, Orwell-picture-of-Dickens type conception in mind, never elicited till it crashes into reality... Also, people said very nice things about my writing which made me feel very guilty for not providing free entertainment around here lately, so I promise to improve on that score.
I've never met you, and yet I have a very clear idea of what you look like. You look like a 1940's (I think) style woman w/ red hair and very red lips smoking a cig. And sometimes you wear some sort of fish-bowl space helmet, but not that often, I hope.

I'd be vewy, vewy wary of them 'tarians. I hear they've adapted Tom Cruise recruitment tactics.

only in space, Matt, obvs.

I'd thought the helmet might also come in handy for around the house cleaning, to protect from dust and noxious fumes from cleaning agents and the like. That's mainly how I use mine, anyway.

Did you really say Julian Sanchez looked like a scruffy hipster? And does he?

Don't forget that the space helmet has magical blondifying powers.

yes, Julian Sanchez looks like a scruffy hipster. but cute. and not in a bad way, I mean, most of my friends are scruffy hipsters so it's not like I don't approve. I just imagined him to be more majestic or something. I mean, he's THE Julian Sanchez.
